Multiple OS in VPS Servers
If you choose one of our VPS server packages, you'll have as many as 3 different Operating Systems to select from - CentOS, Debian and Ubuntu. They are all Linux distributions and we offer them instead of offering just a single OS, since the applications that you may wish to run on the server could have specific requirements for the software environment. Each of these three has some pros regarding the available packages that you could later install, but what is common between them is the fact that they are really secure and dependable and have large communities that support them. The hosting Control Panel alternatives for the VPS accounts depend on your OS choice, so as to give you more flexibility. If you order the virtual server with one OS and you need a different one later, our tech support team can easily reinstall the VPS with the new one in a matter of minutes. We also offer you the option to maintain the Operating System on your server up-to-date on a weekly basis.
Multiple OS in Dedicated Servers
We offer three Operating Systems with our dedicated server plans - CentOS, Ubuntu and Debian. They are all different Linux distributions and we offer them not only because they're cost-free and they won't increase the low price of your new web server, but also because they are very secure and stable. Each of them is supported by a big community of developers, so you'll be able to choose from countless software packages that you could install on your server if the app that you want to work with has specific requirements. The Operating System will also determine what web hosting Control Panel you can use because the Control Panels that we offer run on specific OSs only and because we want to provide you with as much versatility as possible, we offer a couple of OSs and multiple Control Panels. If you get a server with a given Operating System, we will change it upon request in case it turns out that you'll need alternative one. We can also keep your OS updated on a weekly basis as a part of the useful Managed Services upgrade.
